“Verdant Decay”

© 2013 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

I love shooting long exposures at sundown. This image is a hand-blend of two exposures – one for the foreground and the other for the sky. Once again I used the wireless capacity of the 6D to remotely take these images. I’ve visited this location several times. I love this ramshackle farmhouse that is being swallowed by ivy. A wet spring has produced a lush savannah of tall grasses, leaving this old house floating in a sea of green.
