“Frozen”

Photography is about the moment. When you stop and consider what shutter speed really means…that moment is VERY fleeting. This is a relatively low shutter speed (1/125th second). 1/125th of a second. The moment frozen in this photo represents 1/125th of a second of time. It could have been as little as 1/8000th of a second with modern cameras. Photography represents very brief moments in time, but moments forever frozen by the power of the medium. And you thought I was going to talk about how cold it was…
