“The Silent Assassin”

I particularly loved the Arctic Wolves when I went on my recent little “winter safari” to get wildlife to shoot with Tamron’s new long lens.  Unfortunately a weird phenomena (temperature variation from shooting through a warm vehicle to a subzero outside temperature) robbed this series of the sharpness of my other sets.  A few shots are still pretty great despite this technical limitation.  I worked here to eliminate the texture of the snow, leaving a blank, high key canvas from the wolf to “melt” out of.  I wanted this shot to be dominated by those eyes.  The eyes of a killer.  The ghost emerging from the white, ready to pounce…the silent assassin.
