“Old Growth, New Growth”

© 2014 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Feeling a little “Seussian” this morning … I periodically get the urge to pull out my favorite old lens – the Helios 44-2. I’m never disappointed when I do. Regardless of the subject matter the Helios always produces something…unique. My choice of subjects is fairly limited at the moment, but these lilacs have both last year’s seed pods along with rapidly growing fresh buds and provide an earthy, beautiful look at early spring. Old growth, new growth.
