“Right Turn Ahead”

© 2014 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

A forced diversion on a long road trip led me into the marvelous country of road almost choked by lush, low hanging trees. I seized upon the sign for my “extra element” and stopped my car in such a way that the high beams helped illuminate the sign. The light was quite low (and you can tell from my EXIF data), but the dynamic range is quite nice here. It is nice in life when the “right turns” in our lives are the only or obvious choice. Sometimes it is more complicated that that. I have learned to be a man of prayer in part because I’m often not smart enough to know which is the right turn on my own. Enjoy!
