Yesterday I did some careful bokeh tests with the new Tamron SP 85mm f/1.8 VC lens. I liked the 35/45mm lenses a lot (I bought the 45 VC for myself), but their bokeh in some situations is a little busy. Not so with the 85 VC. It is just incredibly nice...and that translates into the real world. Here I used it to shoot my favorite vintage lens. Look at how devastatingly sharp that thin line of focus is but how soft the defocused region is. Very, very nice! Here's a gallery of other images: http://bit.ly/1WvcddF
