The day dawned grey, first with freezing drizzle that turned to a wet snow – sounds like every bride’s dream day, right? But thanks to some great locations, a cooperative wedding party, and some great gear, I was able to get a lot of images that I am proud of for this new couple…and they are thrilled, too. This is somewhat of an extensive series, in part because I am showcasing to interested parties how the new Tamron performs for event/wedding work (check out the link to my website for a blog on my findings). Suffice it to say that I was very pleased – I used it for nearly 70% of the day, supplementing it primarily with two other excellent lens: the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS and the Canon EF 135 f/2L – two of my favorite tools.
Technical info: Canon EOS 5D MKII, Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD, Canon Speedlite 430exII, Processed in Adobe Lightroom 4
