This image highlights two pretty incredible things – first, the image quality is clearly still very nice using the Kenko extender, even at 420mm and f/8 (maximum aperture with the combination). Secondly, this image was taken at 1/40th second shutter speed, which certainly shows that the IS does a great job even with the extra focal length provided by the extender. This little squirrel certainly had his mouth full!
