One big plus for this Zeiss lens I am reviewing is it’s excellent maximum magnification and short minimum focus. It means that shooting near macro images is possible without extension tubes (this shot is from the bare lens), while extension tubes can get you even closer. A big plus is the incredibly creamy blur created in the OOF area. I have to be honest – hosta’s blooms are probably my least favorite aspect of the plants, but I’m happy with how this shot turned out nonetheless. Full review of the lens coming soon!
