Brushstrokes of the Sun

This image is looking pretty autumnal (say that a few times…what a great word!), but autumn is just beginning to show its touches in the trees around our area. A lot of this color is from the late evening sun. It brushed the tops of the trees and gave them an orange glow, which was then reflected in the still pond, doubling the autumnal (he, he) effect. This is a three shot panorama taken with Canon’s fabulous new 16-35mm f/4L IS, which is in the review process right now.
Technical information Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 5, Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin Exposure 6
