“Stolen Moments of Light

In the forest there is a certain “dog eat dog” ethos. The tall trees steal the light, and those beneath that canopy are frequently stunted and small. So is this little evergreen underneath the towering giants around it. But on this unique, foggy day, it seemed that all of the light was concentrated on it. A few moments in the spotlight, some stolen moments of light. I took this photo a few years ago, but gave it some fresh love through processing.
