“It Takes More than an Umbrella”

© 2015 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

It takes more than an umbrella to make winter go away. Another day, another snowstorm. March is approaching with no slowing of winter’s grip in sight. On a positive note, it was a beautiful afternoon to do a winter portrait session and test a new trio of primes that are in my hands right now for review. This is a shot from the brand new Samyang 135mm f/2 ED UMC. Manual focus only, but it is optically exceptional, and, as you can see, makes an amazing budget portrait lens.
