“As the Stars Fell”

Sometimes you get some inadvertent blessings when you shoot long exposures. There is no way that I could have planned for the two meteors falling side by side during this exposure, but I’m very glad for them! I was composing more to get the verticality of the Milky Way in the shot high above the road, but the meteors really made the shot for me.

I would be interested in the camera settings which would help us not so knowledgeable photographers to try to make their own star and sky photographs. Terry

No problem, Terry. I actually wrote an article about that here: http://bit.ly/1bPDF2M. It should hopefully answer your questions.
