“When God Paints Part 2”

© 2015 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Here is another shot from my vintage SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens via adapter (see my article on FotodioX Pro adapters here: http://bit.ly/1JHs9Ct). The Fotodiox Pro adapter allows me to have infinity focus with my SMC Tak without hitting the mirror, which is a definite bonus. I passed this scene on the way to take the previous image (with the moored sailboat), knowing that the colors here would only intensify. After shooting at the other location I hurried back and caught the peak of the color intensity. I composed using the rock in the foreground to help anchor the scene. When God paints, it sure is fantastic!
