Langille Family Portraits

Dustin Abbott

October 20th, 2015

Autumn in Canada is a beautiful, beautiful season, and so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it is a popular time to have outdoor portraits done.  Some people are thinking about their Christmas cards or just reminded that it is high time for some new family photos.

The Langille family are long-time members of our church congregation and have talked about doing a portrait session for years, but we just never made it happen.  But this last week we finally did!  It threatened rain and even released a few drops on us, but the overcast sky allowed for nicely diffused light.

For the gear people:  Here is what I used for the shoot:

Canon EOS 6D DSLR Camera (Body Only)
Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Lens
Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Zoom Lens for Canon
Metz 64 AF-1 Flash unit
Lite Genius Lite-Scoop II flash modifier

And now for the photos:  here are some favorites from the photo shoot.  I think you’ll discover why autumn portraits are so great – the setting for these shots is just fantastic!  Thanks to the Langille family for being great subjects!
