“And Here Comes the Sun…”

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Sun up and sun down in the desert are special, special times. Under the harsh light of day the desert can seem dead and unyielding, yet it sparkles in the golden hours. I went out into the desert between Scottsdale and Mesa Arizona in the early morning before dawn and then framed the rising sun through an old mesquite tree. The long shadows and the great flare from the excellent Zeiss Distagon 2.8/15mm helped make this lens special. Even the desert is greener than Canada this time of year!
