“Frozen In”

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

We get to a point every year where we are deeply frozen in. The cold has battered the world long enough that the river is frozen solid and ice has formed along familiar things. I like this image because of the tones (brrrr) and even because of the perspective distortion from the wide angle lens that I’ve used here. The railing helps lead the eye on into the image, and it tells my story of being frozen in come February!
