I took this one during a summer storm in August last year. The sky was low, brooding, and full of darknesss on one side, but there was a patch of warm, golden light breaking through. I waited until it lined up with the island, and I was able to capture the invading storm on the right contrasting with the summer warmth on the right. The massive cloud formation reminded me of some massive alien ship descending to invade, hence the title.
