“Welcome to Renfrew, Ontario”

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Renfrew, Ontario, is a town that I pass often while heading towards Ottawa or Montreal from the city that I live in. I always love the view from the top of the hill over the sweep of the town below. I shot this on a cold, frosty morning. I actually have a previous shot that looks very cool, but moved up the road just far enough to frame the rising sun in the trees and to allow the golden warmth to infuse the cold image. One nice thing about Tamron’s new prime lenses is a great resistance to ghosting when the sun is put in the frame.

Beautiful moment, well captured. The tension between the colours of the light in the shadows & sun makes it even more interesting.

    Thank you, Fin!
