“It’s Spring Somewhere”

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

It isn’t looking much like spring around here (still pretty wintry), but in Myrtle Beach the cherry blossoms were unfolding day by day. It was beautiful to see the bright pinks and lovely whites all over the community. The trade off was a pollen haze everywhere. I continue to be impressed with the beautiful bokeh rendering from the new Tamron 45mm f/1.8 VC. It is very special for a modern lens, and reminds me of some of vintage favorites – though it far, far sharper than any of them. For those of us still fighting through winter it is encouraging to know that it is spring somewhere…just not here!
