“Lost in the Fog” (Voigtländer Color Skopar 20mm f/3.5 SL II)

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

The little Voigtländer Color Skopar 20mm f/3.5 SL II lens is unknown to most photographers although it is available in modern mounts. This German company (similar to Zeiss) makes similar products, though Voigtländer makes mostly compact lenses. The aperture on this lens isn’t very fast (f/3.5), and the lens isn’t amazingly sharp, but being able to have such a wide focal length in a full frame pancake lens makes for an extremely useful lens to easily pack along. Here’s a link to a gallery of other images I’m getting of and by the lens before my final review in a week or so. http://bit.ly/1LPS5ki . Right now this lens, like the boy in this picture, is a little lost in the fog. I hope to help bring it to the light of day for some photographers!
