Autumn in Spring

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Part of why I love the Crimson King maples is that they produce rich “fall colored” leaves all season. Just as the greens are so bright and fresh in spring, so are the rich reds in the Crimson King. When they catch the light like this they are really lovely. Unlike autumn, however, these leaves are very fresh, new , and vital, and you can see a difference in the “life” of the leaf that is exposed in the sun. I through the contrast of colors here was simple and yet so beautiful!  Thanks to these beautiful trees we get to have autumn in spring, and then summer, and then in autumn again!
