A Moment for Me
© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott
A bride’s wedding day is really all about her, and yet for all of the attention and excitement, it is physically, mentally, and emotionally draining. I try to get them laughing early and often, and encourage them to seize the quiet moments when they find them. I was at the bride’s parent’s home for the early pictures, and the bride wanted a picture of her shoes. I shot a few traditional ones highlighting the shoes while standing, but saw a sectional couch in the living room. I encourage her to kick up her feet, cross her ankles, and then we draped the train of her dress so that I could focus on her shoes as well as get a rare moment of relaxation in the midst of a busy day. A moment for me…
