“New Camera of Choice” (Canon 5D IV)

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

I’ve spent the last week shooting with the new Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and despite it’s expense and Internet outcry over what it doesn’t have, the 5DIV is a fabulous camera. Great handling, well implemented innovative features, and basically the best image quality yet from a Canon camera. My one challenge at the moment is that Lightroom/ACR aren’t yet compatible with the RAW files, so that’s a pain! I shot this with the new Zeiss Milvus 18mm f/2.8 that I’m currently reviewing. You can see my unboxing video here or see an image gallery with a lot of photos along with some 4K stills grabs here.

Gear Used:

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV (5D4)
Zeiss Milvus 2.8/18mm
Adobe Lightroom CC Software for Mac and Windows (Boxed Version)
Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud 1-Year Subscription
