“Autumn Rains”

© 2016 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Autumn rains can sometimes be the harbinger of the cold weather to come. The air temperature drops, the wind blows cold gusts, and the leaves are driven from the trees. But the cooler air temperatures mean the raindrops tend to linger on the deep veined fallen leaves. Perfect for getting close and capturing the magic. We may not want the season to end, but we’ll appreciate the beauty it brings every step of the way. I’ve added a touch of exposure in the middle, but this is otherwise straight from camera.
