“Come On In, The Door’s Open”

Winter seems to be swallowing this old ramshackle farmhouse that is one of my favorite local shooting spots. Yet the “spirit” of the old house is still welcoming; the front door stands open. “Come on in and make yourself at home. ”  It seems that winter is accepting that invitation and flowing right in through the door. There was just enough nuance in the sky to be slightly menacing, and I liked the end product of the mood of this image. About 13 months ago I reviewed the very expensive but also incredibly exceptional Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II, and have wanted it ever since. I finally sold a few things towards the end of 2016 and placed my order. This is my first share from own copy of the lens.
