“As the World Turns”

Don’t get me wrong; it’s still winter around here. But as the world turns the cracks in winter’s grip on the world are starting to appear. More snow is melting than falling, the sun is getting brighter and warmer, and it seems like colors are getting a new “pop”. This is one of the final images I took with the Laowa 15mm f/2 and the Sony a7R3 for my review, and it is perhaps my favorite. There’s nothing exotic about the scene, but I just like the great combination of the bright colors, the beautiful sky (I’d take this kind of sky for all my shots!), and the feel of the image with the snowy trail going up under the towering majesty of the pines.
