Sony a6400 Image Galleries

Sony’s most recent camera seems to be specifically targeted at the Vlogging and Selfie crowd with a revised physical design of the screen that allows it to tilt up into a forward facing position.  The Sony a6400 also inherits some trickle-down improvements from the third generation a7 series with improved focus algorithms, a more robust coverage of Contrast AF points (now 425 across the frame), and improved focus speed (which they claim to be the fastest in the world).  But the a6400 is more of a direct upgrade from the a6300 than the a6500, as it loses the key advantage of the a6500, namely the In-Body-Image-Stabilization (Steadyshot).  It also has about half the buffer depth of the a6500 (whether in RAW or JPEG), so is, at best, a lateral move for a6500 owners and leaves upgraders from an early a6000 series camera body with a difficult choice.  Stay tuned for my coverage as I attempt to help delineate that choice for potential buyers.
