Long exposures are unmatched for creating images full of drama. A long, snowy winter combined with a wet spring has produced very high water levels everywhere. The trees appear to be growing up right out of the river, which allowed me to catch some unique reflections. This two minute exposure has given me a perfectly smooth surface on which the light and shadows play. One final interesting point - I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes standing there holding my remote shutter release. The swarms were incredible. I thought, "I can't do this!" But then I thought of the Wi-Fi capability of the 6D and my iPhone sitting in my pocket. Will it work in Bulb mode for exposures longer than 30 seconds? The short answer is a resounding, "Yes"! I shot this image while sitting in my car (away from the mosquitoes) with my finger on the shutter release button...on my iPhone. Sometimes technology is a beautiful thing!
