Despite winter's reluctance to depart, spring is slowly, painfully starting to arrive. The ice is breaking down on the rivers and lakes, and scenes like this from a month ago are no more. I do enjoy shooting right at the end of winter as the snow cover begins to melt away and exposes the ice beneath. I got down low to compose here so that the rising sun just barely crested the sheet of ice. The Sigma 20mm f/1.4 ART produces very nice sunbursts as seen here. Come find out why a lens that produces such stunning images got a conflicted review from me. Watch it here: http://bit.ly/1qzIFQn or Read it here: http://bit.ly/1q90Dsh
