“The Evil Eye”

© 2013 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Something about this peony bud makes it seem to pop off the screen at you, a malevolent yet beautiful eye staring back at you. This is a handheld macro shot, which speaks more to the amazing quality of Canon’s 100L Macro IS lens than it does my skill.

Technical info: Canon EOS 6D, Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS, Processed in Adobe Lightroom 5
