“The Last Homely House”

© 2014 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

A little break from animals to show the creative side of the lens. I used the length to compress this shot into a more intimate feel. It was shot on a cold, snowy day, but I did do some composite work with snow textures that I have shot to emphasize the snow. I take my title and theme from the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien. He nailed it was that phrase. There is something inviting about the lights of a warm house on a cold day. I thought this image conveyed that theme. Come take a look at the review of this exciting lens:

Technical information Canon EOS 6D, Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD, Processed in Adobe Lightroom 5, Adobe Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin Exposure 5
