“Spring’s Delicate Beginnings”

© 2014 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

Our very first flowers. Only a couple of inches tall, but a beautiful little hint of color in a drab world nonetheless. I used an extension tube and my old Helios lens to get some of the creamy bokeh that the Helios is so good at producing. The resuting image is slightly dreamy and altogether lovely. I’m thankful for spring’s delicate beginnings.
