“Fern Diamonds”
© 2014 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott
I saw a broad fern leaf covered with water droplets and knew that it was a bit of bokeh heaven waiting to happen. It was very pretty in its rich native greens, but I really liked what I got when I started layering in some monochrome along with a color layer on top. The resulting color palette is visually appealing to me, and I went with a different crop to tell the story. Enjoy.
