Fleeting Moments of Beauty

© 2014 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott

There is a narrow window every year where the flowering crab apple trees on my property bloom. They are intoxicatingly beautiful for that season, and perhaps is is the fleeting nature of that beauty that makes it so special. As usual, the delicate rendering and beautiful bokeh of my old Helios 44-2 makes shooting with it a joy. If you’ve never invested $40 or so and tried one of these classic lenses, you really need to give it a try.
