reasons that we'll delve into in just a

moment. I have actually used a lot of

Tron smart products in the past.

Probably half a dozen different

Bluetooth speakers and as as many

earbuds. A lot of those I bought above

all in the past because they were cheap.

For example, my kids would ask for

AirPods and instead I would buy them a

you know a 20 or $30 pair of Tronod

earbuds because they were inexpensive

and if they lost them wasn't so big a

loss. What surprised me is that years

later, number one, my kids hadn't lost

them, but they were still working,

which, you know, for cheap earbuds is

somewhat impressive. And so, I have

bought their speakers for use around the

house, you know, for my wife in the

kitchen to have something to play music

there, things like that. And and so when

they reached out to me about reviewing

one of their products, uh, you know,

formally on the basis of having previous

experience, I said yes. And I was really

surprised because I've always view

viewed the brand as being kind of a a

budget brand that, you know, was

punching maybe a little bit above its

weight. I was really pleasantly

surprised by how high-end this product

actually is. The Fitune X30 is a home
1:31
speaker that competes with much more

expensive uh speakers from, you know,
1:35
Soundcore, for example, but even more so
1:37
from, you know, brands like JBL or
1:41
Ultimate Ears. And so it's competing in

that, you know, higherend uh speaker

category. And it really has some fairly

unique strengths that I want to

highlight here today. So first of all,

we'll just talk about the basic

specifications, the stuff that you can

get out of the marketing material, and

then we'll get into my more personal

experience. But just to give you an

overview of this, this is an 80 watt

speaker. And I will say on that that is

a maybe a little bit of deceptive

because I have bought small speakers

that are being advertised as 80 or even

100 watts. This is not that kind of

thing. We're talking about six total

speakers here, including a

downwardfiring bass driver. There's two

mid-range speakers, two tweeters in

there, and then an up upward firing full

range speaker that particularly comes

into play for spatial audio. And so,

this is able to pump out number one, a

lot of sound. And that 80 watts, I would

say that it's probably more likely a

nominal rather than a peak rating

because you can go all the way up to the

top of the volume range and it's not

falling apart. The battery life is rated

at 14 hours or up to 14 hours obviously

depending on your use case. The X30 is

It also supports some of the higherend

great. It feels very premium. Really

the the top plate here is just a

plastic, it is obviously kind of

tailored to match that. And then on the

actual grill here itself, we're back to

that brushed aluminum here at the top.

And so it's a nice blend of materials.

And then we have got almost like a

speaker grill type material. But the

whole look here actually really comes

together in kind of this um retrochic

design. I would say that actually is

really good looking for a Bluetooth

speaker. And you by it's no mistake that

it's actually won multiple awards for

see. But what's interesting is even

I was actually impressed by that. Here

hard button. That's the actual uh onoff

more of like haptic touch style, but we

have all of the basic functions here. We

have the ability to um it's decided to

turn off after sitting here for a while,

but we have those uh volume up and down

here. We have play pause on there. We

different modes. We have the ability to

go into your Bluetooth pairing. We have

course, obviously, if you're going to

And I'll give you a little bit more on

going to look on that. You know, there's

a lot of different options. Obviously,

basic volume control. You've got the

ability to do all of those things as a

little bit lower price point, $50 to $70

cheaper than, you know, the equivalent

Soundcore type product. Then, if you're

those that's the basics, but what about

the actual sound quality? I've used

first of all I I've used one of these

for about eight weeks at this point and

and so I initially used it for a while

with a single speaker then I was

intrigued to see how well it would work

with TWWs with two of them uh because I

have had let's just say inconsistent

results with that in the past when it
6:46
works it's great but what I found is

that there tend to be a lot of glitches

sometimes they don't always sync up or

they sync up initially and uh you know
6:55
and after five minutes one or the other

is dropping out it's been frustrating

process for me in the past and that is

included with some Tron smart products

and so I really wanted to test that. So

for over the last several weeks I've

been testing two of them together to see

how that works.

As far as the the applications where

I've used it, I've used it in backyard

settings for you know when you're doing

backyard games or parties and just kind

of filling the yard kind of sound. I've

used it at the end of the table for uh

you know for dinner music kind of or

background music. I've used it set up in

with them paired in more of a living

room kind of configuration where I'm I'm

just trying to fill the room with sound

and then I've actually used them for

movies with a projector and tested to
7:39
see how it would handle, you know, kind

of the the big range and the sound stage

required for movie use. So, I've used

them in a lot of different applications

and of course I've just listened to
7:47
music on them which is the fun part of

this job. And so, uh here is my thoughts

on the actual audio quality. Number one,

these are capable of putting out a lot

of sound. My experience is when you get

into this level of speaker now, they

will go louder than what I'm comfortable

listening to. And so, actually, in some
8:05
of my tests, I actually had ear
8:07
suppressors in and so that I could test

volume, you know, how much sound is
8:12
being put out of them. And so, in in

that case, I found that it's able to put
8:17
out a lot of sound. And if I briefly
8:19
took off my ear suppressors and
8:20
listened, even when it was jacked all
8:22
the way up, the sound is not falling

apart. So, kudos to them on that. And

again, it's why I think that the 80 watt
8:28
rating is actually a nominal rather than
8:30
um a a peak rating.

But beyond that, I would say that the

sound tends to be a little bit bass

heavy out of the box, particularly at

lower sound levels.

It's able to put out a surprising amount

of low-end and so I'm impressed by that.

But I just found that the default

equalization is a little bit bass heavy.

As the sound goes up, it actually

balances out a little bit more. But in

some cases by the you're up at levels

that maybe are too uncomfortable to

listen to if you're just wanting to have

background noise. Now, that fortunately

that wasn't really the case when I was

in the movie setting and I felt like it

really did a nice full sound range

without any kind of issues. So, what I

found is that if I was listening in

default, not spatial audio mode, I

needed to go in and tweak the
9:25
equalization to take some of the lowend
9:27
down. And so, if there is, I think about

six different um area zones where you

can control equalization, the first two
9:35
I needed to pull down quite a bit and

then add a little bit more into the
9:38
middle and a little bit more to the high
9:39
end. and I was able to get a more
9:41
balanced sound at lower volume levels

for that. Now, when you switch into

spatial audio, it definitely broadens

the sound stage, but it also seems to
9:49
have a de a default equalization

setting, which is a little again a
9:53
little bit bass heavy on the the low

volume levels and gets better as you
9:58
bring it up. I did find that using the

spatial audio when in a movie setting

was actually it was my preferred

setting. it actually gave a bigger sound

stage and was impressively good. And so

overall, I think that the sound is very

good. It has a quite a rich quality to

it. Um almost an analog type sound that

I I found very very pleasing and seemed

to work well with a wide variety of

musical styles. Some of these speakers,

they sound good with certain types of

music and not so much with others. This

felt fairly flexible. And so overall,

I'm impressed with the sound quality. It

doesn't have quite as much power as the
10:35
Boom 2 Plus, which is an amazing

sounding speaker, but it is able to put

out plenty of sound and the sound

quality itself is good. So, how about

things that I like, practical things,

and then some things that I don't like.

Well, on a practical level, I really

like the look and the feel of quality.

This feels like a very premium product

and it looks really good. It is a very

elegantlook design. And I know it's a

very elegant design because I set it up

at the end of my table uh to play kind

of background music and then I left it

there for over a month. And that may not

seem like a big deal to you, but my
11:10
wife, which I appreciate, keeps our
11:12
house very clean and she doesn't like
11:14
clutter. And of course, me as a tech
11:16
reviewer with clutter constantly coming

in, she doesn't like if I leave things
11:20
out. And the fact that this was able to
11:22
sit out and she never once complained
11:24
about it tells me that it looks good

enough that she didn't mind the look of
11:28
it sitting down at the end of the table.

And and then I moved it on to other

places for other applications. But I it

looks really really good. And that is

the biggest success story that I can

tell you. I have also been very

pleasantly surprised by how well the
11:44
TWWS, that's pairing two of them and
11:46
operating them in stereo works. Um they
11:48
paired up very quickly. That's fine. But
11:52
far more important to me is that every
11:54
time that I turn them on, if I turn that
11:56
second one on right now and it powers
11:58
up, they will be synced up here.

Right there, it takes that that long for

it to sync up and be ready to go. And

what's more, they never go out of sync.

They never drop off each other. But it

is very, very consistent. I was really

interested to see how this would work

when it came to watching movies because

you think about if you're sending that

signal Bluetooth from the projector to

one of these speakers and then it's got

to communicate to another and try to

keep everything in sync in terms of

video and audio. I didn't know if that

was going to work and so I was

pleasantly surprised. I will say every

now and then, every maybe 5 to 7

minutes, you will see what looks like a

couple of frames dropped. It's almost

like a tiny hiccup. And I think what's

happening at that point is that it is

making sure to keep everything synced

up. and so maybe kind of delaying a

little bit. So you may periodically drop

a few frames, but it is doing an amazing

job of keeping everything synced as far

as the two speakers, but also I have

never noticed an issue between lips

moving and the sound coming out. And so

I'm actually really really pleasantly

surprised by that cuz I wasn't sure that

it would work in that kind of

configuration. I do appreciate on the

movie front it does create a

surprisingly big sound stage and that it

wasn't bad with one of them. not quite

as good as what the Boom 2 Plus would be

with one. When I add two and I'm able to

space them out and get that bigger sound

stage and the combined uh you know sound

from the two of them, it's it's

surprisingly good. Now, obviously, it's

not going to replicate my you know 7.1

surround that I've got in my you know

entertainment room, my home theater

setup, you know, with a dedicated

subwoofer and surround. You're not going

to get that full surround and that quite

that big sound stage, but it is big

enough and sounds good enough that

you're very quickly lost in the whole

thing and you don't feel like you've

been robbed in the experience. And so,

you know, kudos to them. That's really

impressive. Uh, I also found that in

most situations, spatial audio sounds

really good. Now, as I said, I it can in

some situations feel a little bit bass
13:55
heavy at low levels, but in many
13:58
situations, I felt like it sounded
13:59
really good, and it does give you a a

bigger sound stage. The sound quality in

general is in no way tenny. If if
14:08
anything, it is it is fuller than
14:09
expected, and it has an almost a warm

analog type sound that I appreciate.

This may be a a little thing, and some

people may love the big light show on

some of these speakers. I'm not a big

party guy as you may have guessed. And

so for me, the light show kind of thing

is a gimmick, but in this case, it is

restrained enough that I haven't

immediately turned it off. I appreciate

the fact that it's there, but without
14:34
screaming and and so um it isn't really
14:37
disruptive. It just adds kind of a

little bit of an ambient glow there. And

so I appreciate that. And of course, the

ability for these, you know, the actual
14:46
woofers in this go down surprisingly

deep. You can go down to 50 Hz, which is
14:50
not, you know, near the 20 hertz that

you're getting with a a dedicated sub,

but it's, you know, deep enough sound

that you I I'm pretty confident you're

never going to feel like, man, I wish

there was more bass. Uh it really uh

sounds very good on the low end. It's

it's quite powerful. And so, that is

impressive. And I also love these

downfiring designs because it's really

great. You know, I've got hard hardwood

floors in my my house. I can actually

hide these away on either side of the

couch down where people will never going

to see them and have big room filling

sound from them. So, I actually really

appreciate that. So, what don't I like?

Well, as you've probably figured out, I

feel like the high-end clarity could be

better and particularly the default EQ

settings could be better to give you a

little bit more balanced sound at lower

volume levels. I also feel like the the

default, which is the override

equalization settings in spatial audio,

again, they're a little too heavy on the

the bassy side. And so, I would have

liked a little bit more uh little bit

even even if I had a little bit more

control over in spatial audio and could

pull a little of that low-end down, I

would appreciate.

My final critique is that the 14-h hour

underwhelming in a speaker like this.

For example, the Boom 2 Plus has a 20our

rating. And I've used speakers that have

a 24 plus hour rating. And so, in this

case, it feels like I'm charging it a

like. You know, I love the fact that

this you can leave this out and it looks

good in the decor. But, of course, if

charge it, it detracts from that overall

look. And so, I would have liked to have

seen maybe to be up a little bit more

closer to the range of the Boom 2 Plus

in terms of that 20our rating. So, that

leads me to my conclusion. There are

lots of party speakers out there. You go

into Costco or Walmart or any other tech

store and you'll see lots of different

options that look like, you know, these

black plastic hunks. But I would

recommend the Tron Smart 15 Fitune X30

to those that are looking for a home

speaker. And by that, not just a speaker

to put out sound, but something that'll

actually fit your decor if it's left on

a counter or an end table and look like

it belongs rather than you just, you

know, forgot to clean something up. It's

also a solid value at $180.

I mean, you're getting a a really

premium looking and sounding product for

that price point. And if you buy two of

them, you're going to be surprised by

this is that as I was doing research, I

at this point. And so I noted that as of

reviews on there and the aggregate total

through those reviews I saw again and
