“Land of the Rising Sun”
© 2015 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott
I took this image yesterday morning – it is straight out of camera other than a slight correction to the horizon. As soon as I opened it up I loved it…and so why mess with a good thing? The sun was rising out of sea of mist, with a burst of light above and below the fog layer. The fog layered beautifully around the distant island. I am thrilled to share this image! I have found the M3 + EF-M 55-200 STM to be the perfect companion when I go out to shoot landscapes with my full frame wide angle kit. I shot this image while my full frame kit was shooting a long exposure. Sometimes a telephoto look creates something very special…like here.
