“The Lesser Light”

Genesis 1:16 speaks of the moon as the “…lesser light to rule the night.” There was something primordial about the night sky last night, with a massive halo around the moon and some aurora mists. It was also incredibly cold (about -30 C), and the so I’ve tinted the image a polar blue to match. I wanted to test the new Sigma 16mm f/1.4 for astro, and while the bright moon somewhat dominated the sky (ruling the night!), I really liked the end result of the image.
