“Just Around the Bend”
© 2015 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott
There is something incredibly appealing to me about railroad tracks as a photography subject. I’ve been so disappointed as they have been pulled up completely in my area. When I travel, however, I am my eye is continually drawn to them. I particularly love a scene like this where the tracks stretch around a bend and leaves you wondering what lies around the bend. I’ve approached this image in a somewhat painterly fashion that I felt was appropriate to the feeling of the scene.
