The Big Blue
© 2015 Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott
I shot a number of beautiful images on this early morning excusion. I’m always tempted in such settings to put the sun in the frame and get the unique images that it brings, but for this image I turned a different direction and allowed for the amazing contrast and rich color that the low dawn sunlight could bring. The stillness of the water allowed for that great mirror image of the sky above. I loved the rich, deep blues here contrasted with the warm golden light on the shoreline. This is one that I fell in love with…and I hope you do, too.
