Delightful Delphiniums
We planted our first delphiniums back about the time I was reviewing the Tamron 70-200 VC, and since then they have grown and thrived…and made it into a lot more of my summer pictures! One of the nice things about the Tamron 45 VC is it’s close focus ability, and, while I’m not straining it here, I like the result nonetheless. I used a Hoya circular polarizer and a cool white balance to get this result, and I added a bit of haze at the top of the image to allow a graduation to the cooler tones along the bottom. I often use square crops with blossoms…just the way my mind works, I guess. I like the balance of the warm yellow blossoms against the cool blue shadows. This is a handheld image. I’m becoming more familiar with the nuances of the 5DsR. You can see my first video on it here:
