Incredible how that massive inferno we call the Sun can have so little impact upon the temperature. The sun was ablaze early one December morning, but as the foreground and the frozen river beyond attest, the temperature was dominated by the ice. Well below zero on either scale of measurement, it was a beautiful mixture of fire and ice.
