It Came in a Dream

I had to drive some 10 hours on Saturday in weather that was, for the most part, pretty foul. Cold, rainy, and grey. But while driving across a bridge spanning the Moira River never Belleville, Ontario, I saw a scene that I knew I had to capture. Mist was rising off the river, and there was a tiny island in the river with basically one tree. But that one tree was basking in a little light filtering down. It was reflected through the patches of mist. I had to park beyond the bridge and hike back, but this shot (and a few others) was really worth it. I’ve added some Orton effect to enhance the dreaminess, and have increased saturation on the colors, but this one was special from the beginning. P.S. This is the first image I have shared from the new Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 VC for the EOS M platform.

Technical information Canon EOS M, Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III VC. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 5, Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin Exposure 6
