We try to take little adventures together as a family during the summer. This week’s adventure took us into Algonquin Provincial Park, where we hiked into a spot called High Falls, complete with (yes) a waterfall but also a natural waterslide where some rapids slide over the surface of a sloped rock. Nearby a ledge also offered a place to dive off into deep waters. The kids and I had a great time. This shot was taken along the trail hiking out (a little over 4k each way, so the kids were officially tired by the day’s end!) The rich red tones of the pine needles helped draw the eye into the emerald greens of a forest that has seen plenty of rain this year.
