Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Gallery
The Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM lens is a masterful tool. It is built like the proverbial tank with advanced weather sealing, it handles beautifully (though a bit large), and the image quality is superb. Its price tag is equally staggering, but using it feels a lot like using a Zeiss Otus lens with autofocus, and, in that context, the price suddenly seems more reasonable. I’m directly comparing it to the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART series lens – a comparison many have asked for. Here is a look at the build quality and the size comparison:
My review linkage will show up here after I finish it up in early January 2016, but, in the meantime, enjoy some of the images that I’m getting from the lens. Most of these will be from f/1.4 to f/2.8 – a lot of lenses look great at smaller apertures like f/4-f/8, but only the special ones look great at wide apertures. Some of these have received post processing, and some are straight out of camera. Enjoy!
